Caroline Bellamy is an emerging young New Zealand artist. Born in Nelson, Caroline started painting at an early age and sold her first painting at age 14. With her father being a sign writer and painter and mother a medical illustrator, Caroline grew up surrounded by artistic skills and influence.
Caroline’s work captures the unique beauty of the New Zealand landscape and often records temporary structures such as baches, boatsheds and other landmarks characteristic of our culture. Her paintings employ a realistic contemporary style that flawlessly describes the crisp and clear New Zealand atmosphere. Bellamy displays a keen eye for detail and ease of technique which belies her age. Producing work in multiple media, most often working in acrylic on canvas, linen and board, she has taken on many commissions and sells her work throughout New Zealand.
